UIN Jakarta Attends Indonesian Youth Dialogue with French President
Jakarta, UIN Online News — UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, along with six other universities in Indonesia and several students from Lab School UNJ, attended the Indonesian Youth Dialogue with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Latief Hall of Jakarta State University (UNJ) on Wednesday (28/05/2025).
President Emmanuel Macron attended with his French presidential staff during his visit to Indonesia, which also served as a strategic moment to strengthen bilateral relations and broaden inter-nation dialogue, especially with the Indonesian youth.
Under the theme of geopolitics and international politics, President Macron directly dialogued with students and pupils on global geopolitical issues, the role of youth in world peace, and the importance of cross-country collaboration in facing common challenges. He also expressed his appreciation for the warm welcome and enthusiasm of Indonesian students in receiving his visit.
Representing the UIN Jakarta leadership, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmad Tholabi, M.A., was present at the forum along with leaders of other higher education institutions, including the Rector of Jakarta State University, Prof. Dr. Komarudin, M.Si. Their presence reflects the commitment of Indonesia's higher education sector to supporting intellectual forums that strengthen inter-nation understanding.
Also present at the forum were representatives from various leading universities besides Jakarta State University as the host, including UIN Jakarta, Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Bogor Agricultural Institute (IPB), Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), Bina Nusantara University (Binus), University of Indonesia (UI), and the Indonesian Defense University (Unhan).
This event became an important moment for students to voice their views on the global situation and broaden their insights through direct interaction with a world leader.
