Proud Achievement! Faculty of Science and Technology Student Wins 3rd Place in GoIT Competition: GenAI for Education

Jakarta, UIN Online News – A team of students from the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta garnered attention with their generative AI-based application, securing 3rd place in the GoIT: GenAI for Education competition held on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at the Faculty of Educational Sciences (FITK), UIN Jakarta.

According to an official release from FST UIN Jakarta, the competition—organized by Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in collaboration with FITK and FST—provided a platform for students to develop technology-based innovative ideas. The event attracted hundreds of participants from both faculties, challenging teams to create relevant and applicable AI products, particularly in the educational context.

The winning FST team comprised Arjuananta Malik (Mathematics), Hanny Juliana Ridwan (Agribusiness), Harry Nur Isnandar (Physics), and Aditya Putra Ramadhan (Informatics Engineering). Together, they developed NextPath, an innovative mobile application prototype powered by Generative AI.

NextPath is designed to help students make informed decisions about their academic and career paths. "The app provides personalized recommendations for majors and career options, though it's currently in the prototype stage," explained Arjuananta Malik, the team representative.

The prototype includes advanced features such as learning modules and tailored recommendations to support users' decision-making processes. "We aim to refine NextPath further, ensuring it benefits not only students but also the wider community seeking career and educational guidance," Arjuananta added.
